a couple words with Mark Peckmezian
Mark Peckmezian is cool.
Who: My name is Mark Peckmezian. I'm going into my fourth year at
Ryerson for photography. I'm 23. Don't know what else to mention.

What: I guess I'd divide my stuff up into two categories: the more
serious, planned-out stuff, and the more incidental, snapshot-y stuff

When: No time in particular.

Where: Toronto

Why: Social deficit resulting in Napoleon complex. Also it's sort of just too late to back out now.

How: Everything is analog, for some ideological but mostly practical reasons. For the more serious stuff I'll use whatever --
Graflex 4x5, Hasselblad, Rolleiflex, Nikon F5. The snapshot stuff is
almost all done with a Contax T2, but sometimes my Rolleiflex.
I have a darkroom and print everything myself. Especially for the snapshot stuff, the printing is like 50% of the process; it's at least as important as the image itself.
